This is Jill. She's in stakeholder management. She is, by any objective measure, extremely good at it.
Painted in red, yellow and blue with a muddy background made of all three primary colours. The crop is so tight you can't see how many tentacles there are. This is intentional. So is everything Jill does.
The texture across the mantle is built from hundreds of small marks in the same three primary colours, describing octopus skin without ever breaking the rules of my palette. The tentacles leave the frame in multiple directions simultaneously, which on reflection is also how Jill operates. The eye is the thing. Dark, wet, ancient, and completely unbothered.
Jill has outlasted three restructures. She will outlast you too.
Original acrylic on canvas, 12 x 12 inches, matt varnish finish. One of a kind. Sold unframed, ready to hang.
